Abstract:
Exposure to acute stress in the vital experiments on rats male and female leads to PTSD with characteristic behavioral problems and disorders of lipid metabolism. Behavioral disorders in rats, are characteristic features for depressive - like state - a reduction of research and motor activity, communication, and increase the level of anxiety, as well as the appearance of pathological aggression. Violation of serum lipid spectrum, primarily associated with lower antiatherogenic high-density lipoprotein, especially pronounced in male rats. Stressed rats - characterized by low resistant males (26%) and highly labile (52%) in high density lipoprotein fractions, whereas in female rats of stress reveals a high resistance (77%) and a low-labile (37%), the fraction of HDL. Even a single stress further leads to structural and functional impairment, detectable in the brain and liver injured animals. Such changes are long-term and increase toward the long-term follow. Repeated exposure to stressful not lead to a further reduction of cholesterol in high density lipoprotein, however, leads to an increase in triglycerides in the blood serum and the liver.
The aim of our study was to investigate the features of involvement of noradrenergic, serotonergic and dopaminergic systems in the brain into an altered behavior of rats caused by acute trauma, as well as the effect of antidepressants on the altered lipid metabolism of animals. In experiments was used vasopressin, amitriptyline - norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors and serotonin, mianserin - adrenergic blocker presynaptic fluoxetine - a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor, piribedil - antagonist D2-, D3-receptors. Pharmacological correction used drugs led to changed behavior and normalizes lipid parameters. Highest activity at normalizing serum lipids provided drug vasopressin and piribedil, however, it should be noted that only piribedil reduced pathological aggressiveness observed in stressed animals. Other drugs not provided such action. Piribedil also has a protective effect with respect to the observed morphological changes in a brain.
