Influences of ozone on the mnemonic function of the brain: learning ability and preservation of memory in the experiment

Abstract:
Ozone therapy - as a treatment method that uses the medical ozone, has a powerful effect on the organism due to its strong oxidising properties. Known antibacterial, antiviral, anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects of ozone. But there is no supporting evidence of neuropharmacological action, in particular, the influence on behavioral activity and preservation of the memory trace in animals. In the original simulation precision chamber "ozonogenerator" mongrel white male mice investigated the effects of ozone at a concentration of 0.5-3 mg/m3 for 15 min exposure on behavior, endurance, coordination, attention fixation. Set activating component of ozone in the studied concentrations, which manifests itself in rodents increased search motivation, on average 3 times higher than in control groups (18 conditional runs against 6). Under the influence of ozone endurance of mice in forced swimming increased by 32%. Activation of rodent behavior has also been observed in the test "mink reflex", they most of the time (70%) were in the bright compartment chamber. to test the safety of the memory trace, worn out after learning certain skills, ozone by 15% improved recovery of lost memory search for finding food in the T -shaped maze. Thus improving the zoo social behavior of animals under the influence of ozone indicates the activation of behavioral motivation, increased endurance, recovery of acquired skills at playing background training and subsequent information erasure.
