Abstract:
Recent time for developing methods of activation, proliferation and differentiation of stem cells using various physical factors. The first work with using of electromagnetic radiation of millimeter range (EHF-radiation) low, non-thermal intensity appeared relatively recently. In this work we used two types of cell cultures: keratinocytes line НаСаt mice and mesenchymal stromal cells (MSC) rats, which were cultured under standard conditions in the growth medium DMEM/F12 and operated short-wave radiation (wave length 7.1 mm) in continuous and pulsed mode (8 imp/s). The effect was evaluated by the relative rate of mitotic activity of cells in the cultures. It was shown that the culture of keratinocytes and MSC react differently to the modes of EHF-radiation. Continuous irradiation in the case of keratinocytes found a tendency of reduction in proliferative activity for 30 sec exposure and an increase of 150 and 300 sec. Pulsed irradiation of the same culture gave the stimulation of proliferative activity of up to 155% for 30 seconds and several smaller stimulation at 150 and 300 sec. Continuous exposure to the culture of MSC gave resonance to a maximum increase of proliferative activity (30 and 150 seconds), and pulsed irradiation of this culture gave back the picture - reducing proliferation of cells at 30 seconds with further access to the plateau. Thus, the studied cultures have different reactions to the conditions and modes of EHF-radiation.
