Abstract:
The aim of the presented research was to study visual functions and electrophysiological parameters before and after terahertz irradiation of biologically active points of the application on the frequency of molecular spectrum of radiation and absorption of atmospheric oxygen 129,0 GHz in people with AMD. Examined and treated 70 patients (108 eyes) with the dry form of AMD, and in 9 of them on the background of AMD was diagnosed diabetes with symptoms of nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy. The age of the examined patients were: from 52 to 77 years, persons with diabetes - from 55 to 65 years old. All patients received basic medical therapy in combination with physiotherapy techniques. In 55 patients (the main group) comprehensive treatment conducted jointly with terahertz irradiation of skin biologically active points of the application (BAP) on the frequency of molecular spectrum of radiation and absorption of atmospheric oxygen 129,0 GHz. After treatment it is marked a significant increase of visual acuity without and with correction and electrophysiological indicators (rhythmic and total ERG) in patients of all groups. A more significant increase of parameters observed after terahertz therapy at three BAP. In individuals receiving terahertz therapy marked more stable effect in visual acuity and electrophysiological parameters after dynamic observation of patients during 6 months. Thus, the application of terahertz therapy in complex treatment on the frequency of molecular spectrum of radiation and absorption of atmospheric oxygen 129,0 GHz significantly improves visual functions in patients with AMD. Using the methodology of terahertz irradiation on the frequency of molecular spectrum of radiation and absorption of atmospheric oxygen 129,0 GHz on biologically active points, we consider rational - simultaneous influence on three points, which is confirmed by visual data in patients with AMD.
