Radiometric detection of people in the area of man-made disasters

Abstract:
The article deals with the assessment of the options for the radiometric detection of people under the rubble; it is based on experimental studies of the designed radiometric receiver. In «Introduction» - deals with the principle of radiometric detection of biological objects; significant authors - experience in the development of radiometric equipment is emphasized. In «Radiation receiver» - choice of operating frequency for the developed radiometric receiver is justified; block diagram of the radiometer is given and grounded; the operation of the modulation radiometer is described. In «The antenna system of the radiometer» - the use of antenna array is justified; the outward appearance of the antenna system is presented; the appearance makes obvious the design of the system; antenna pattern and antenna noise temperature are given. In «Experimental studies» - the results of experimental studies of the using of the radiometer people detection under the rubble are given; it is noteworthy that people were detected behind the 250mm brick wall; the need for further research for heterogeneous multilayer rubbles is stressed.
