Abstract:
Current article presents method and system for information support of type 1 and type 2 diabetes patients. The method introduced is the set of stages of collection, storage and processing of diabetes patient-s data aimed on producing decision on alteration of diabetes compensation program. Two groups of models were developed in the study: models accounting the impact of different factors on blood glucose profile and models for estimation of energy balance. Time-action profiles are used to account the impact of different factors (e.g. food intake, physical activity or insulin injection). The method for individualization of time-action profiles based on goal search for matching parameters is presented in current study. Energy balance model uses heart rate and respiratory rate to calculate energy costs and the information on food intake to calculate incoming energy. In current study practical modeling of time-action profiles was carried out and special software was developed to analyze long-term situations. Mobile application for Android devices developed for collection, storage, processing and representation of diabetes data "diaCompanion" can be used for approbation of presented models.
