Analysis of an Individual Algorithm Structure for ECG Monitoring in Patients with Ischemia

Abstract:
The variants of practical implementation of an algorithm for ischemia episodes detection under the absence of isoelectrical line drift are suggested. It is shown that the studied algorithms is capable of exploiting various estimates including combined weighting coefficients. The probablity of an alarm generation at different levels of ischemia are studied. It is shown that this probability grows rapidly under critical levels of ischemia. The band between the upper and the lower probability thresholds used in the algorithm is suggested to be used as a measure of its efficiency. Our results indicate that the hit rate grows from 0.05 up to 0.95 just at five heartbeats at pronounced ischemia level at affordable false alarm rate. Also the false alarm rates at affordable hit rates D=0.95 and 0.99 have been studied. Finally, it has been shown that the algorithm provides with high hit rates only under critical ST elevation levels.
