In the article the problems of the blood transfusion media leukocyte filtration and also problems of equipment set elaboration for its carrying out are discussed. The leukocyte filtration of blood transfusion media is applied for the safe carrying out of hemotransfusion, for the risk decreasing of virus carrying, causing infectious deceases, for the prevention of posttransfusion reactions and aftereffect of illness in the practice of blood service. The usage of specialized equipment for carrying out the filtration of blood transfusion media lets reduce the la-bour-output ratio and increase the quality of the blood transfusion media filtration. The above mentioned equip-ment lets carry out the blood components storage with adherence to the requirements of asepsis and antiseptics. The equipment set for the blood transfusion media filtration includes complete structural units, the quantity of which may be changed in dependence of amount of products and technologic peculiarities of specific manufac-ture. The equipment set for the blood transfusion media filtration consists of : - the device of placing polymeric containers systems and filters with the lifting mechanism of containers with the filtering blood transfusion media (a bar of blood transfusion media filtration - SF-01); - the device of automatic air removal from polymeric containers (automatic plasma extractor ? "Hemopress"); - the device for pressurization of polymeric containers (the device for pipe pressurization of polymeric containers for blood storage "Hekon-B"). Medical tests of the equipment were conducted in Main Military Hospital named after Burdenko N.N. and Moscow region blood service. All the devices have registration license of Federal Service on Supervision in the Sphere of Health and Social Development.
