Mathematical and Conceptual Models of Diseases for Decision Support System of Clinician

Abstract:
When developing a decision support system (DSS) of clinician one of the tasks that must be addressed is to build mathematical and conceptual models for assessing the functional state of patients for differential diagnosis. The correct solution of these problems will determine the effectiveness of the application of the developed DSS of clinician. Conceptual model - a domain model consisting of a list of related concepts used to describe this domain, together with the properties and characteristics, classification of these concepts, types, situations, featured in this domain and the laws of the processes in it. The stages of development of conceptual models of diagnosis the patient are proposed. The conceptual model for evaluating the functional state of patients for differential diagnosis of thyroid diseases is presented Factual description of the conceptual model is the starting material for the subsequent phase the construction of DSS clinician - mathematical modeling. Mathematical model is a collection of mathematical relationships, equations, inequalities, etc. Describing the basic laws inherent in the process under study, facility or system. The main purpose of modeling - to explore these objects and to predict results of future observations. Principles of construction of mathematical models for diagnosis of human diseases DSS of clinician are pre-sented.
