Bio-Controlled Chronophysiotherapy Devices in Ophthalmology

Abstract:
Biocontrolled chronophysiotherapy is a modern and developing direction of treatment of eye illnesses. It differs high efficiency that is confirmed with clinical practice. Devices and methods biocontrolled chronophysiotherapy due to synchronization with rhythms of blood filling tissue on signals from gauges of pulse and breath of the patient expand a therapeutic range intensity, exclude negative and collateral reactions, increase speed and stability of treatment effect. Some types of such devices are serially issued and used in clinics. They are under construction on the basis of the uniform block diagram. The circuit contains gauges of pulse and breath, the normalization block, the analog-digital converter and the block of the analysis of signals. In light therapy a light source are light-emitting diodes, established in glasses. Medical computer systems have advantages in comparison with traditional devices. It makes actual development of new computer systems. Development should be carried out with use of new information technologies. The most suitable is the technology of virtual devices. Due to this technology system creation becomes more simple and cheap. Its feature is use for creation of the software of the graphic programming environment. The graphic programming environment Such as LabVIEW of company National Instruments reduces labour input of development. In one environment there is a modelling system and development of the software, as lifts process of designing on a new qualitative level. In article development of computer system "Glasses - B" is described. The block diagram of system is resulted and is underlined to feature of realization of each of blocks. Signals from gauges of pulse and breath and the block of the analysis of signals were modelled in LabVIEW. The modelling has allowed to debug algorithms of functioning of system. The software was developed also in LabVIEW environment. It contains a executed application, a database, a real time program for data acquisition module and its drivers. The user interface of the application is convenient. At realization of a medical session pulse and breath signals are displayed on the screen of the monitor in the graphic form. The pulse rate and frequency of breath is constantly determined. The database stores the information on patients and on the carried out medical sessions. It is realized in widely distributed DBMS MS Access 2003. The system biocontrolled chronophysiotherapy "Glasses - B" is ready to clinical approbation. In the conclusion of the article such feature, as ability of system to development and perfection is emphasized.
