Abstract:

The analysis results of the satellite radar snapshots of high spatial resolution for the territory of the south of Omskaya oblast are given. The influence of the applied speckle-filtering type on the results obtained in the course of statistical analysis of radar snapshots is considered. It’s identified the typical values of specific scattering cross-section which correspond to some surface types. Results  obtained while investigation can be employed at creating new and improving existing automatic classification algorithms of surface types using remote data.
