Abstract:
At present, the AWACS aircraft actions in groups acquire ever greater importance while solving the tasks of detecting and tracking air and surface targets by radiation of their airborne and ship radars and active jammers. While tracking, the coordinates and parameters of radio source (RS) movements are determined, what implies the integration of the results obtained in metering radio source bearings coming from different mobile Rx positions. The specific character of data integration in multiposition passive goniometry systems is asynchronism of their delivery from different Rx positions, what makes it necessary to use successively the results of observation as they come to the processing station or to lead them at predetermined time. Thus, two groups of radio targets tracing algorithms can be used: using single measurements including target azimuth (bearings) and rectangular coordinates of Rx positions, and indirect measurements of rectangular coordinates or relative ranges of radio targets. It makes sense to use extended Kalman filters or sensitivity theory-based filters in algorithms applying single measurements of target azimuths. The week point in algorithms based on extended Kalman filter is that non-linear equations should be solved for evaluation of error variance in real time. The sensitivity theory-based filters are free from this week point. Linear filtration algorithms can be used in two-phase procedure of target coordinates measurement. In two-phase procedure of target coordinates measurement, the algorithms of adaptive α, β filtration turn out to be the most simple as they make it possible to reduce the influence of "unfavorable" geometry of relative Rx positions on the accuracy of evaluating parameters and coordinates of radio source movements.
