Abstract:
Studied the biological features of growth, the ratio of leaves, flowers and stems of raw materials, the content of extractives and tannins, polyphenols and flavonoids in seven varieties Pentaphylloides fruticosa (L.) О. Schwarz. It is shown that a significant content of phenolic compounds can be regarded ornamental varieties of shrubby cinquefoil as sources of drugs with antimicrobial and antioxidant activity. As the amount of flavonoids in terms of quercetin were selected varieties of cinquefoil «Goldstar» and «Goldfinger». Shoots of these yellow flowers forms cinquefoil were more winter-hardy than varieties with pink or red blossoms. The best from a technological point of view, the ratio of the mass of flowers, leaves and stems was in variety «Goldfinger» (3:5:2). Almost half of the raw materials were leaves. The most promising varieties of shrubby cinquefoil for introduction into the culture of the forest-steppe zone of the Bashkir Urals are «Goldfinger» and «Goldstar».
