The effect of increase of shadow radar cross-section (RCS) is used in wide detection volume due to reflection from natural objects without necessity of actual construction of large number of bistatic forward scattering radars when target with small RCS on short range and small height are detected The theory and experimental results for background radiolocation of single targets are given in a number of papers for the case of using reflection from natural objects in pulse background radar (BR). In the same time the problem of observation and resolution of group targets was left without attention which is the purpose of this study. The paper considers the derivation of expression for generalized correlation integral (GCI) for the multiple target case with various density of their location in planar coordinates for BR which allows to analyze the resolution in two-dimensional coordinates for the various target location density. The GCI horizontal cross-sections for the group of three targets are derived and studied which allows to recognize and estimate the resolution for the sparse and dense groups including three targets in horizontal planar zone of hundreds and thousands meters in size. The proposed theoretical technique allows for rapid theoretical estimate of target resolution in the development of systems for detection of group small targets.
