Abstract:

For a given initial situation and objective function, a method is proposed for automatically generating a set of possible alternatives (action options/plans/solutions), which can later be evaluated, ranked and/or combined to ensure coverage of truly workable and diverse options, support human decision-making or automatic selection, account for uncertainties and multi-criteria. To this end, the article presents and examines the main signs of a correct decision: validity, timeliness, consistency, concreteness. To simulate real human intellectual processes, using logic algebra and set theory, all stages and steps of the decision-making process are described and formalized, which is presented in the form of three stages consisting of a sequence of steps. The network forming graph for the main parameter, the decision model, is shown. A classification of alternatives has been made.

When implementing the management process, any decision maker (DPR) faces some problems of varying degrees of complexity. To a greater extent, this is related to the immediate stages of decision-making, but there are also specific difficulties. And if a person is characterized by intuition, mood, and general condition that influence decision-making, then in real intellectual systems these components of human life are absent, thereby allowing them to make more «correct» decisions on the one hand, and on the other, depriving this process of creativity.

For a given initial situation and target function, it is very extensive to automatically generate a variety of possible alternatives (action options/plans/solutions), which can then be evaluated, ranked and/or combined to ensure coverage of truly workable and diverse options, support human decision-making or automatic selection, take into account uncertainties and multi-criteria. relevant.

Goal. Formalize all stages and steps of the decision-making process in intelligent systems, by automatically generating a variety of possible alternatives with minimal human involvement.
