Abstract:

The use of modern computing tools allows us to elevate many processes that ensure the high efficiency and competitiveness of modern electrical products to a qualitatively new level. In particular, this allows for the significant complexity of calculation formulas, with the aim of obtaining resulting parameters as functions of the initial data. This article examines the possibility of calculating the parameters of an inductor operating with constant bias magnetization in the initial nonlinear section of the magnetization curve. The calculation principle consists of obtaining power-law representations for the magnetization curves of cores, allowing us to obtain the spectral composition of the current in the inductor, accurate to the third harmonic, and determining, based on the obtained spectrum, a possible set of inductor parameters in accordance with the connection diagram and its operating conditions. As an example, the paper presents calculations of a smoothing LC filter for various load currents, demonstrating the possibility of selecting a core type depending on the magnitude of the DC component of the load current, with a description of the calculation methodology and the necessary functional dependencies. As a result of the research, a method was proposed for representing the magnetization curve of the core during operation of a coil with constant magnetization in the initial nonlinear region. Also, based on this representation, a method is proposed for finding the current spectrum of a coil operating with constant magnetization in the initial nonlinear region of the magnetization curve. The paper provides examples of choosing a core magnetization curve when calculating a smoothing LC filter with an inductive load response.
