Abstract:

Modern, high-quality aesthetic dental prosthetics require the optical characteristics of prosthetics to closely match those of the patient's natural teeth. However, simply assessing tooth color using dental color standards (shade guides) is insufficient. Knowledge of the spectral light scattering characteristics of dental tissue is also essential. The focus of this research is to identify and analyze a method for determining the spectral light scattering characteristics of dental tissue and the design of a device for its implementation.

The aim of the article is an identification of a method for determining the spectral characteristics of light scattering of dental tissues and the structure of a device for its implementation.

A method for determining the spectral characteristics of light scattering of dental tissues and a device for its implementation are presented.

The presented method and device are suitable for use in practical dentistry and in the educational process in medical educational institutions with a dental profile.
