Abstract:

An urgent problem for the prevention and treatment of many diseases of animals and humans is the development of original medicines using biotechnological methods. Liposomes in combination with a new generation of drugs created due to the success of protein and genetic engineering and plant extracts are promising. The use of liposome drugs in medicine and veterinary medicine is the subject of close attention.

The development of medicines requires the solution of specific technological issues: for example, to create phyto ointment for the treatment of arthritis, arthrosis, fungal infections, or ointment with collagenase, it is necessary to select active components with wound healing, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory properties, antifungal properties, as well as a complex of optimal excipients that provide the necessary biopharmaceutical characteristics of these compositions. We proposed the composition of a complex extract which contained an alcohol-water extract from 13 plant components in a certain ratio. To enhance anti-arthritic and anti-arthrosis activity, chondroitin sulfate, glucosamine hydrochloride, shilajit, sea buckthorn oil and oil extract from therapeutic mud were additionally included in the developed ointments. Various methods of liposome preparation with the maximum inclusion of complex alcohol-water extract from medicinal plant raw materials were studied. The criteria for comparing the drugs included in the internal volume of the vesicle were: the percentage of the component, the size of liposomes, the simplicity and accessibility of the method.
