Abstract:

Inflammatory diseases of the prostate gland occupy a leading place in the structure of urological pathology in men. The treatment of chronic prostatitis is a serious problem, which necessitates the search for new approaches and methods of treatment. One of the promising areas is EHF therapy. It is assumed that the autonomic nervous system is largely involved in the regulation of the inflammatory process, and therefore the assessment of the autonomic status of the nervous system is of important diagnostic importance. At the same time, heart rate variability can be considered as a marker of autonomic disorders. Conclusion – to assess the status of the autonomic nervous system in an experimentally simulated chronic inflammatory process in the prostate gland in rats and EHF therapy by analyzing heart rate variability.

The study was conducted on male rats weighing 150-200 g. The animals were simulated by a chronic inflammatory process in the prostate gland. The device "CEM-TECH" (Spinor, Russia) was used as a source of EHF radiation. The animals were irradiated daily throughout the experiment, emitters were applied to acupuncture points. The registration of the indicators of the state of the ANS was carried out using the hardware and instrument complex of the wireless ECG registration system in animals "Physiobelt" (Neurobotics, Russia). The following HRV indicators were evaluated: SDNN (standard deviation of the average NN intervals calculated over short periods), RMSSD (RMS of successive differences between normal heart rates for a given data set) (time analysis); Mo (geometric analysis); TP, VLF, LF, HF (spectral analysis).

The analysis of HRV in rats with an inflammatory process in the prostate gland and EHF therapy in the experiment showed that EHF EMR has an effect on the activity of the autonomic nervous system. The SDNN and RMSS indicators decreased in the experimental group, while the mod index (Mo) increased. After the action of EHF radiation, changes in the spectral parameters of HRV of rats relative to the control group were also observed: a decrease in the total power of the spectrum (TP) was recorded for each day of the experiment, the value of LF decreased on the fifth and tenth days, the HF index increased on the fifth day, and by the fifteenth day was comparable to the control value, the proportion of VLF waves it decreased in the spectrum on the tenth and fifteenth days. Based on the data obtained, it can be assumed that in the conditions of EHF therapy with a chronic process in the prostate tissue of rats, an increase in the activity of the sympathetic link of the autonomic nervous system is observed.
