Abstract:

It is known that homeostasis in animals and humans is maintained by changing the configuration of serum proteins. It is suggested that the results of changing such a configuration of proteins should be a change in the constants of the interaction of proteins with body tissues. This should lead to impaired development (diseases) of these tissues. For example, in dry degenerative macular degeneration, the disease manifests itself in the tension of the macula with the formation of a “plateau” and subsequent rupture of the retina and blinding of the patient.

The aim of the work is to study the effects of autohemotherapy, which can restore the configuration of serum proteins, on the macula.

In this study, the reversibility of the state of tension of the macula and plateau was shown for the first time. Since 2014, the patient has received standard treatment for degenerative macular degeneration without positive dynamics. The technology of autohemotherapy was carried out. The results of tomography before and after 6 months are presented. The disappearance of macular tension and the disappearance of the plateau were noted.

It is concluded that it is necessary to continue studying this technology in degenerative macular degeneration.
