Statement of the problem. When developing promising human-computer interfaces, it is important to understand the degree of feedback influence on the characteristics of command development.
Aim of the work – to determine the degree of influence of feedback on the characteristics of the development of teams generated in the tasks of myographic interfaces.
Results. A series of experiments was carried out on a group of healthy volunteers, the purpose of which was to determine the degree of influence of the presence of visual feedback on the learning process of a subject with a new human-computer interface. The study involved 31 people aged 18 to 30 years. Sensors were connected to the subject’s hand to measure biopotential, the system was initially set up, during which the algorithm determined the minimum and maximum levels of electrogenesis used to generate commands. Then the subject went through a series of experiments. Each experiment lasted for 7 seconds, during which time the subject had to achieve and hold one of the three required levels of muscle electrogenesis activity for 3 seconds. Three types of experiment were conducted: training, with the presence and absence of feedback. Based on the results of the experiments, an assessment was made of the success of the tasks in working with the above system regarding the type of experiment. It was found that the accuracy of hitting a given target at the training stages and with the presence of feedback did not have significant differences. In the absence of feedback, the accuracy of hitting a given target was significantly reduced. The dependence of the time spent on passing the experiment on the type of experiment was determined. It was found that the time spent on the experiment when hit the target, the presence of feedback is not affected. It was found that the accuracy of command generation decreases with an increase in the required level of electrogenesis at all stages of the experiment.
Practical significance. The results can be used in the design of feedback systems for prosthetics of the upper limbs, the development of exoskeletons and other patient rehabilitation systems.
