Abstract:
The paper presents a mathematical model of human emotions when working with brain-computer and eye-tracking inter-faces. The model is based on the information and the probabilistic approach, in which the user assesses the probability of a correct execution of certain interface commands. If the user expects the probability of correct command would exceed the objective likelihood of their implementation, there will be a negative emotion user since Interface load worse than expected. In the opposite case, when the user expects the probability of correct performance of the command will be lower than the objective probability of their implementation will be positive emotions. The variants of the model of \"memory\", which takes into account the previous experience of the user. At the same time takes into account two options of user behavior. \"Optimistic\" option, in which the subjective evaluation of accuracy of the interface increases in its successful operation in more than decrease when unsuccessful. \"Pessimistic\" variant, in which the subjective assessment of the accuracy of the interface increase with its successful work in less than decrease when unsuccessful. The model included a variant with a sharp change in the emotional state of the user with a series of incorrect recognition of commands in the software and hardware interface. In this case, the user interface expectations of success greatly increase what is known as the effect of \"mistakes Player\". Introduced circuit additional channel user interface computer, in which the accuracy of the interface depends on the emotional state of the user. This interface works accuracy drops significantly when expressed emotions user, regardless of their signs. The numerical simulation shows that the most stable configuration of the interaction of the user-interface computer are \"emotionally stable optimistic\" + \"precision interface.\" In other words, the user responds to a series of slightly unfortunate recognized interface commands, but in the case of the successful operation of the interface has a tendency to overestimate the accuracy of his work. The model with these settings has demonstrated stable operation without significantly reducing the accuracy of the interface and thus ensure the preservation of the emotional state of the user in a relatively neutral level, despite the inflated, ie, \"Optimistic\" expectations. In most other cases of possible occurrence of sudden surges of emotional state of the user caused by improper discernment interface of its command, and this in turn leads to a decrease in the accuracy of the interface. This mechanism forms the so-called \"Vicious circle\" in which the low accuracy of the interface work leads to strong user emotions, which in turn reduces the interface even more precision work. The developed model can serve as a basis for the development of the technical state of the user analysis system when working with human-computer interfaces, creating an additional information channel.
