Abstract:
The results of the study of the elemental composition of mixed saliva in healthy children of different age groups. A total of 167 children aged 4 to 10 years, residing in the territory of the South-Western Administrative District of Moscow (85 girls and 82 boys). The first group consisted of 88 children aged 4 to 6 years (45 girls and 43 boys), and the second - 79 children aged 7 to 10 years (40 girls and 39 boys). The concentration of Al, Ca, K, Mn, Mg, Na, P, Se, Si, Sr and Zn significantly higher in the whole saliva in girls, as Cu, Fe, Mn and Pb - 4.6 years in males (p < 0.05). The group 7-10 year olds maximum observed concentration values Al, Cu, Fe, K, Mg, Se, Sn and Pb, and boys - Ca, Fe, Na, P, Si, Sr, Mn and Zn. The concentration of Al, Ca, Cu, Fe, K, Mg, Mn, Na, P, Pb, Se, Sr, and Sn was significantly higher in whole saliva of children 7-10 years, and Zn - in 4-6 years. By analyzing the correlation of elements found in a group of boys 7-10 years, and 4-6 years we have seen an increasing number of reliable, both positive and negative correlations of pairs of items, compared with a group of girls. Thus in both groups significant (p < 0.05) positive correlation was found only in the following pairs of elements: Al-Cu, Al-Se, Ca-P, Cu-Fe, Cu-K, Se-Zn and negative - Ca- Fe, Cu-Mg, Fe-P, Mg-Mn. Thus, obtained in a comparative study of the state of mineral metabolism in various physiological periods of childhood, the data indicate that, in assessing the status of the region\'s population element preferably come from data obtained from a survey of primary school age children. During this period of development of the organism appears to be formed biochemical background of chronic pathologies associated with the exchange of macro- and micronutrients.
