Effects of intermittent normobaric hypoxic training on the vegetative status world-class athletes

Abstract:
The paper presents the influence of intermittent normobaric hypoxic training on vegetative status of international class athletes in terms of preparation for the competition.
The study involved 8 male athletes, world-class athlete in rowing at the age of 20 to 27 years. Intermittent normobaric hypoxic training was conducted on the «Edelweiss» company «Metaks» (Moscow) twice a day in preparation for the competition.
It was found that the body reacts to the athletes to adapt to the hypoxic stimulus to a greater degree of activation of the parasympathetic nervous system and increases the likelihood of a high resistance to stress. Thus, the positive effect of intermittent normobaric hypoxic training on vegetative status of world-class athletes (rowing), points to the active involvement of the complex mechanisms of compensation and adaptation to extreme physical exertion, which is the basis for increased productivity and resistance to stressful situations that occur in the process of major competi-tion.
