Abstract:
The results of the study seasonal dynamics of enzyme activity and concentration of trace elements in the blood serum of healthy men.
The 216 healthy men volunteers aged 23 to 55 years were examined four times during the year: in winter (December-February), spring (March-May), summer (June-August) and autumn (September-November).
It was found that the maximum activity of alkaline phosphatase was observed in winter, alanine aminotransferase and as-partate aminotransferase - in the autumn, and γ-glutamyltransferase - summer (p < 0.05). Correlation analysis revealed that the maximum correlation coefficient between the values of alkaline phosphatase and γ-glutamyltransferase (r = 0,72; p <0,001) in the summer, and the minimum (r = 0,36; p < 0,05) - spring. Increased γ-glutamyltransferase values at surveyed in the summer of the year was significantly correlated with decrease in the concentration of selenium in the blood serum (r = -0,55; p < 0,01).
Comparative analysis of the dynamics of seasonal concentration of chemical elements in the blood serum of healthy men showed that the maximum concentration of Cu was observed in the summer and Mn, Fe, Zn - winter and Se and Cr - spring. It was found that the increase in the values of TIBC in healthy men was significantly correlated with a decrease in the concentration of serum iron (r = -0,58; p < 0,001) in the spring of the year.
Thus, the data show statistically significant seasonal changes in indicators of the activity of enzymes and the elemental composition of the blood serum of healthy men.
