The article discusses the pathophysiological mechanisms of interrelation of the microflora of the digestive tract (periodontitis, intestinal dysbiosis) with disorders of carbohydrate and lipid metabolism at the patients with the metabolic syndrome . There are results of the study involving 69 patients, 54 from them have a BMI > 25 kg/m2. According to this study, was found the patients with abdominal obesity expressed in 100% of cases proinflammatory and oxidative processes in the body accompanied by clinic signs of chronic generalized periodontitis. Inclusion into the comprehensive 24 -week therapy with a probiotic (Symbiolact Comp.) and antioxidant (Ubichinon compositum) at the early stages of MS helps to optimize general and local immunity , relief of oxidative stress , improve reparative processes and reduce the severity of periodontitis, correction of atherogenic plasma, normalization carbohydrate metabolism. The authors believe that proven regimen of metabolic syndrome has important therapeutic and preventive value because it can influence at the key pathogenetic links of cardiovascular complications and metabolic disorders in the polymorbid patients.
