Activation of rat peritoneal macrophages on the surface of the endoprothesis used for hernia repair

Abstract:
Implantation of various synthetic means of medical appointment in fabric of the person induces the reaction mediated by macrophages which expressiveness depends on chemical and physical properties of used materials.
Intracellular systems of production of active forms of oxygen of adhesions macrophages, on a surface of the synthetic not degrading materials applied to treatment of patients with postoperative ventral hernias are studied. In an abdominal cavity of rats fragments of heavy polypropylene and titanic endoprotheses were established. Mieloperoxidase activity of macrophages is defined, the NST-test is carried out. Comparison of titanic and polypropylene implants showed that the last in much bigger degree activate migrating of macrophages to them.
