Experimental justification of efficiency of metalclamps with the modified geometry of the contact surface and the biocovers application in the osteosynthesis of long tubular bones

Abstract:
Diaphyseal fractures of the long bones leads among skeletal bone fractures. At present indications for surgical treatment of the long bones fractures are widened because of advances in traumatology. However, along with good results, there remains a rather significant percentage failures such as nonunion and pseudoartrosis. This It provides necessity of develop of not only new constructions designed according the basic AO principles, but also biologically active coatings for implants suscitating bone regeneration. The aim of the study is to substantiate the effectiveness of metal constructions with new geometry of the contact surface and biocovers for long bones fracture fixation in animal models. At the preclinical stage model of acute diaphyseal tibia fractures was formed to 25 rabbits breed «Chinchilla». 13 animals underwent osteosynthesis operation applying linear reconstructive plates and 12 - applying metalclamp with the modified geometry of the contact surface and biocovers. Clinical, functional and morphological assessment of anatomical and functional condition of the limb were estimated at 2, 4 and 8 weeks after surgery. By virtue of the findings analysis, the comparative assessment of the tibial fixation with linear reconstructive plates and metal construction with modified geometry of the contact surface and biocovers.
