Abstract:
Results of investigation of correlation between the chemical elements in the hair and the activity of serum alkaline phosphatase and γ-glutamyltransferase. The study involved 28 healthy women and 14 men aged 30-50 years. Analysis of the results showed that the activity of alkaline phosphatase and γ-glutamyltransferase in serum was significantly higher in men 80,6 ± 5,1 U/l in women than 70,3 ± 3,3 U/l (p < 0,05 ). The correlation analysis showed that women between the values of the activity of alkaline phosphatase in serum and zinc content in the hair set a negative correlation (r = 0,51; p < 0,01), and in men between the values of the activity of alkaline phosphatase in serum blood and lithium content - (r = 0,63; p < 0,01). Comparative analysis showed that the activity of γ-glutamyltransferase in the serum was significantly higher in men 37,1 ± 3,9 U/ml in females than 19,5 ± 2,2 U/ml (p < 0,05). An analysis of the data revealed that men present direct correlation between the values of γ-glutamyltransferase activity in serum and boron content in hair (r = 0,66; p < 0,02), as well as between the activity of γ-glutamyltransferase and iodine content (r = 0,58; p < 0,05). Women have established negative correlation between the values of γ-glutamyltransferase activity in serum and selenium content in hair (r = 0,47; p < 0,05). Comparative analysis showed that male hair significantly higher content of Al, As, B, Cd, K, Pb, and Se, and women  Be, Ca, Cu, Fe, J, Mg, Mn and Si. Statistically significant differences in the content of the other elements in hair were found.
