Abstract:
Results of investigation of correlation between the chemical elements in the hair and the activity of serum alkaline phosphatase and γ-glutamyltransferase. The study involved 28 healthy women and 14 men aged 30-50 years. Analysis of the results showed that the activity of alkaline phosphatase and γ-glutamyltransferase in serum was significantly higher in men 80,6 ± 5,1 U/l in women than 70,3 ± 3,3 U/l (p < 0,05 ). The correlation analysis showed that women between the values of the activity of alkaline phosphatase in serum and zinc content in the hair set a negative correlation (r = 0,51; p < 0,01), and in men between the values of the activity of alkaline phosphatase in serum blood and lithium content - (r = 0,63; p < 0,01). Comparative analysis showed that the activity of γ-glutamyltransferase in the serum was significantly higher in men 37,1 ± 3,9 U/ml in females than 19,5 ± 2,2 U/ml (p < 0,05). An analysis of the data revealed that men present direct correlation between the values of γ-glutamyltransferase activity in serum and boron content in hair
(r = 0,66; p < 0,02), as well as between the activity of γ-glutamyltransferase and iodine content (r = 0,58;
p < 0,05). Women have established negative correlation between the values of γ-glutamyltransferase activity in serum and selenium content in hair (r = 0,47; p < 0,05). Comparative analysis showed that male hair significantly higher content of Al, As, B, Cd, K, Pb, and Se, and women Be, Ca, Cu, Fe, J, Mg, Mn and Si. Statistically significant differences in the content of the other elements in hair were found.
