Application of Raman spectroscopy for the analysis of the deformed state of biopolymeric materials

Abstract:
Intensive development of materials science for biological and medical applications is caused by development and studying of functional and safe materials. Recently in many areas of the industry, including biomedicine, the increasing share is occupied by polymeric materials (mainly PVC polyvinylchloride and PE polyethylene) which are forced out and replaced with itself other materials. Despite successes of science in the field of polymeric materials, the regularities defining depends of structure, conditions of receiving and processing of composite materials in products with their structure and properties were so difficult that very many of them still aren\'t clear. Characteristics of the products received by deformation of polymeric workpiece possess pronounced dependence on materials\' structure. In this article usage of a technique of the combinational dispersion of light (Raman spectroscopy) for studying of structure of polymeric materials in the deformed condition is described. The conclusion that reliable detection of distinctions in Raman spectrums for the deformed and not deformed condition of PVC and practical usage of this method in the specified range of frequencies requires formation of reference base is drawn.
