Early diagnostic of breast cancer in population mammographic screening

Abstract:
The results of population mammographic screening programme of female Kazan city population and preclinical disease diagnostics before clinical symptoms manifestation are presented. Mammogram-s examination was made with the interpretation of mammographic images by BiRADS system. During the period 2008 - 2011 years 39355 women aged 50 to 69 were examined on three digital mammography devices. 248 breast cancer cases were detected. The detection of stage I and II breast cancer in 2008 year was 76,9% and in 2011 - 84,6 %. In 2011 the breast cancer in size up to 15 mm was detected in 23 cases (45 %). As a result of mammographic screening the frequency of breast cancer detection on early stages is increasing.
