Abstract:
We present study overall and disease free survival of 238 patients with neuroendocrine tumors with and without carcinoid syndrome. Carcinoid syndrome rate was 15,6 %. There was no relationship between carcinoid syndrome and overall and disease free survival. Patients with carcinoid syndrome had low disease free survival. The diarrhea was a factor of unfavorable outcome. The data obtained demonstrated that the early time manifestation of carcinoid syndrome was indicator of unfavorable prognosis in patients with malignant neuroendocrine tumors. Patients with pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma presented relationship between urinary catecholamines and carcinoid syndrome. There was relationship between adrenaline, noradrenaline and dopamine urinary excretion (r = 0,53; р < 0,05).
