When designing gas pipelines in mountain conditions, the problem of the impact of natural and climatic processes during construction and operation is relevant. It is necessary that the influence of certain factors be taken into account at the design stage.
The goal is to analyze the main malfunctions of gas pipelines in mountainous areas and propose methods to avoid them.
Statistical data have been obtained to determine the possibility of using protective mechanisms against certain natural disasters in the mountains.
The data obtained as a result of the study and the methods proposed as protective, with further work on this problem, will improve and secure the work on the construction and operation of gas pipelines in mountainous areas at the design stage.
