Abstract:

The activity of territorial economic clusters has a direct impact on the development of the region's economy, therefore it is necessary to understand which key socio-economic indicators of the region are primarily associated with the development of cluster formations in order to ensure the effectiveness of the cluster formation process in the regional economy.

Goal – to carry out a correlation and regression analysis of indicators of socio-economic development of the region with the further construction of a model of multiple regression of cluster development on the example of the initial indicators of the Rostov region.

The existing indicators of socio-economic development of the Rostov region are considered. The degree of dependence of the average value of cluster development in the Rostov region on the following indicators in the region is determined: population size, average life expectancy of the population, gross regional product, investment in fixed assets, exports, per capita monetary incomes of the population; a multiple regression model reflecting this dependence is constructed.

The analysis carried out can contribute to the identification of criteria affecting the development of cluster systems in the region, the resulting model can be one of the possible methods for determining the effective development of clusters in the regions and describe the processes affecting this development.
