Abstract:

Digital production is a type of organization of production based on the integrated use of highly integrated computer technologies of end-to-end process automation, “digital doubles”, digital modeling and information processing at all stages of planning, development, manufacturing, quality assurance, operation and up to the disposal stage, that is, for all stages of the product life cycle. The advantages that digital production technologies provide are the ability to optimize all production processes, increase labor productivity, reduce a whole range of costs by automating functions such as monitoring and controlling the time to market for new products, as well as endowing technological machines and systems with wide capabilities battery life.

The article discusses current issues of production using modern information technologies, discloses the meaning of the term «digital production». A method has been formed for determining the priority areas for introducing digital production tools at the enterprise as the final stage in the overall system for assessing the level of digital development of enterprises. The results of the qualitative analysis for each stage are accumulated in special report forms, which are then transformed into tables using quantitative methods to assess the use of promising digital production technologies in the enterprise and make judgments about the overall level of digitalization of the enterprise.
