Abstract:
This paper describes the MFAR adaptive time budget algorithm that used for increasing MFAR performance.
Algorithm using the utility function that stands on three criteria: detected targets, tracking targets, and the average target contact period. These criteria affords to achieve adaptation for the time budget distribution.
The algorithm provides time budget distribution between two MFAR functions.
Besides the model of MFAR was developed. This model provides evaluation of the algorithm effectiveness (based on the criteria eval-uations) by the imitation of MFAR functioning in different environment.
Results of experiments proves that the developed model imitates the MFAR behavior in simple environments precisely enough. This model can be used for a part of an imitation system or for an operator of the MFAR training.
Described algorithm fairly effective (in the chosen criteria), especially for a 3D-searching radar. Besides the algorithm has a potential for the further development. As an example this is an opportunity to use non constant weights in the utility function. This approach affords to adapt the algorithm itself in the severe environment that provides further flexibility and effectiveness for the MFAR time budget distribution.
