Application of non-destructive testing methods in the production of high-energy power units

Abstract:
In units and mechanisms of the aircraft is used more metal parts which are subjected to a whole range of simultaneous degrading in-fluences (heat, power, gas environment, corrosion, etc.), therefore they should possess the properties opposite to those influences that require the use of a large number of alloys with different physical-mechanical characteristics. And to ensure the manufacturing parts of the required alloys it is necessary to conduct 100% inspection of the incoming to the enterprise of metal products and control of parts manufactured from these products. In the manufacture of turbopump units (TNA) liquid propellant rocket engine (LRE) used complex methods of nondestructive testing, which allows any stage to determine the grade of alloy in the part. The result of applying the method of expert estimates created by Gating-feeding system for molding discs TNA, reducing their rejection. The use of rentgenopozitivnye pump casings TNA has allowed to identify defects, which were corrected by welding. In the manufacture of the rotor shaft turbopump used the instrument to evaluate dimensional accuracy and roughness. All these activities helped to improve the quality of parts, components, and TNA in General, the reliability of rocket engine.
