Improving energy efficiency antenna systems by application of intellectual coatings

Abstract:
The use of various types of protective coatings in antenna technology, including intelligent (allow you to control the characteristics and parameters of antenna systems), now becomes more and more popular. As an intellectual coating paper the ferrite (relative to the magnetic (μ) and dielectric (ε) permeability of the coating different from the unit), under which on the surface of a perfectly conducting cylinder is a system of magnetic emitters (slits).
The degree of influence of parameters magnitodielektric coating on the energy characteristics of the cylindrical antenna array (CAA) were evaluated through the coefficient of efficiency of the antenna.
Studies have shown that the selection of parameters allows to achieve coating magnitodiehlektricheskogo improve matching of the radiating aperture with feeder link, which in turn leads to higher values of efficiency of the antenna system. In this case can be found values of electrodynamic and geometric parameters of the coating, which provide as reducing side lobes and improving coordination in the sector scanning. This allows increasing the antenna gain at the edge of a sector scan in comparison with the uncoated CAA.
