Abstract:
Recently short start time is much attended in development of electron vacuum devices. For thermionic emission cathode devices this time in general depends on heating-up time of the cathode unit. This paper deals with the design features of directly heated impregnated butt cathode unit in ceramic case with diameter 5.3 mm and with 18 emitters for electric vacuum device manifold application. The heating-up time of the cathode unite is 2 sec in drastic mode. Also thermoelectric and emissive characteristics and features of manufacturing technology of the cathode unit are presented.
