The precipitation of copper(+2) oxalate from spent solution of anodic aluminium oxidation and spent solutions of copper(+2)

Abstract:
The possibility of copper(+2) oxalate precipitation from spent solutions (anodic oxidation of aluminium and its alloys with oxalic acid, etching of printed boards, copper electroplating, etching of copper in sulfuric and nitric acids mixture) is shown experimentally. The solubility of copper(+2) oxalate in aqueous solutions with variable concentrations of ammonium chloride, ammonium sulfate, nitric, sulfuric and hydrochloric acids is tested. Some chemical properties, solubility and thermal stability of copper(+2) oxalate are studied.
