Abstract:
Analysis of impact impulse transmission to internal elements of the structure of ship machinery gear has been carried out. The proposed method of experimental design allows to estimate mechanical impact resistance and integrity of separate units of equipment. The results of analysis of equipment with using of the developed method can be used for determination of loading conditions of separate device blocks during the element wise equipment tests. It has been found that loads on the elements of the same level may be considerably different. If there will be uniform requirements on the impact impulse characteristics for all elements of the same level in the specification, some elements of the equipment may be either underloaded, or overloaded during the development tests.
