Abstract:
The experimental results of 3 mm wave magnetrons power summation with a balanced power combiner based on super-dimensional bridge are presented. Experimental dummy combiner reflection and absorption coefficients were cold measured. A design of the experiment is presented. Hot measurements using two 3 mm wave magnetrons were performed. Magnetrons summation and synchronization bandwidth was estimated. Phase limits for magnetrons synchronization were defined. Power summation index was evaluated. Oscillograms of microwave envelope impulses and spectrometric data for various work modes of experimental dummy combiner are presented. Potential for use this way of power summation accounting for frequency stability improvement is discussed.
