Abstract:
This article is devoted to problem of errors compensation in space objects trajectories parameters estimates, observed by space control radiolocation stations and related to the influence of signals propagation environment: ionosphere and troposphere. Such problem occurs at all frequency ranges modern radiolocation stations , because instrumental components of errors are close to the potential minimum, as a rule. Propagation errors compensation is a difficult task because it is related to the information about current state of the environment in a large amount of space served by the radiolocation station. Obtaining such knowledge and using them in automatic mode is related to great efforts, which will be much greater if very high precision of environment parameters estimates is required. That is why the problem of optimization of propagation errors compensation means is very important. There is always a real correlation between propagation errors and non-compensated instrumental errors, also there are specific requirements to the total residual errors. The most easy way to insert corrections is calculation based on environment models, which must be included in software of radiolocation station. This method is highly reliable. But this method is limited in accuracy of corrections because every model can describe regularities, not random events. That is why current measurements of environment parameters are so useful. There are two new problems related to using measurements in automatic mode: 1. Instrumental errors in environment parameters measurements in measuring equipment can be a reason of the radiolocation station accuracy characteristics degradation, which can be detected not immediately. 2. Measurement equipment failure can also be a reason of radiolocation station accuracy characteristics degradation. To solve these problems it is highly recommended to use a combination of model and measurements. Environment parameters measurements must not be used for the direct calculation of corrections. They must be used for the current calibration of model, and further to control the quality of measurements. Such combination makes it possible to save reliability of the corrections insertion system and to quickly detect the defects in measurement equipment. There are experimental materials represented in this article. They were obtained during solving the problem of propagation errors compensation in the meter-range space control radiolocation station.
