Abstract:
At present it is impossible to present the process of designing microprocessor-based systems (MPS) without the use of debugging tools. Debugging tools (DBTL) are essentially computer-aided design (CAD) in the development of MPS. Terms of designing-of MPS are largely determined by the degree of development DBTL. Study and mastering of debugging tools (DBTL) is an important task in the preparation of specialists in computing technology and related specialties.
For study the DBTL and receiving skills to work with them at the department of computing technology at Moscow State Institute of radio-engineering, electronics and automation (MIREA) there is a number of laboratory exercises that are used in courses on "Microprocessor Systems" and "Debugging tools."
This article is based on years of experience teaching the course "Micro-processor systems" at the Moscow Institute of radio-engineering, electronics and automation (MIREA).
Generalized structure of an integrated debugging environment (IDE), reflecting the typical modules of software debugging of different companies, is offered there. The proposed Generalized structure is useful in studying this topic.
There is the classification of the debugging tools for technical and method-academic parameters, which allows to focus on a particular level of training depending on the number of hours devoted to the curriculum.
Highlights the advantages of debugging environment MK51WIN developed by the Department of computing technology of MIREA.
Makes recommendations on the organization of laboratory practice for researching and mastering OTSR.
Article is primarily intended for teachers of higher and secondary vocational education, as well as can be useful of students, graduate students and professionals interested in the MC and its implementation.
