The article deals with the structural and linguistic features and the option of forming complex data streams in telecommunication systems. They are characterized by complex multi-level nested hierarchical structure of the synchronized heterogeneous data streams, high-speed processing and the use of a priori unknown patterns and settings for creating and sharing information. The basic methods of recognition and evaluated their applicability to the problem of recognition of complex data streams. It is proposed to solve the problem of recognizing complex data streams using structural-linguistic approach, in particular, of the theory metagrammatiks.
