The use of automation in determining the structure of telemetry data and work with it

Abstract:
Telemetry data (TMI) is using during the development and testing of complex technical systems. To work with the TMI, there are different viewers, which allow easy and quick access to the values of parameters of interest. But, development phase of the formation of TMI structure, on which work on-board programs for a TMI and telemetry viewer, automation has not yet assumed. This slows down the start of the equipment test and software debugging. To speed up the start of use of the TMI, automated system is offered. This system automatically places the parameters in to telemetry data structure. It also generates a telemetry programs for on-board computer and series of reference arrays for viewers. The system contains three programs: The program for creation of a database The program for form telemetry structure, working with the collected database. Additional program to create arrays for viewers, which do not work with automatically generated structure arrays. The developed system allows to solve the main task given to automation - a significant acceleration of receipt of the final structure of the telemetry. Moreover, automatically formed TMI structure is easy to change. What is more, cost of CPU and memory onboard programs increased very slightly. The use of the environment, frees professionals from manual creation of arrays for viewers. This, apart from saving time, eliminates the possibility of incorrect display of telemetry in the viewer, which is due to possible errors during manual creation of arrays for viewers. In summary, automation allows to use TMI for testing hardware and software debugging much earlier. In addition, the time between the receipt of TMI and the beginning of it analysis is significantly reduced.
