Abstract:
In this abstract is stated the way to determine the magnitude and shape of various cloud types on the basis of data on cloud fields self-radiation in the range of 8-13 microns, obtained using an automated system for the objective parameterization of cloud shapes and magnitude. The proposed method of recognition of cloud types based on the calculation of a number of features, comparing them with the classes averages and selecting the most likely option. Determination of cloud amount based on a comparison of all the frame cells with a certain threshold.
