Abstract:
During the preparation and conduction of modern and advanced weapons and military equipment (WME) tests there is an objective need for operative interaction between test objects. Currently radiocommunication (VLF, HF and UHF) is used for voice information transmission, wire, radio-relay and satellite communication are used for voice information and data transmission. The implementation of Wi-Fi wireless data transmission technology is of great interest during conduction of tests of WME samples. At the present stage of Wi-Fi technology development the range and speed of packet data transmission are quite high. High speed and range of packet data transmission are provided through the implementation of MIMO technology when communication lines are created for the distance of up to 50 km. The use of various aerial types enables creating a wider Wi-Fi radiocommunication coverage area during WME tests. The above given example shows the possibility of implementation of Wi-Fi radiocommunication for large-area test conduction. Therewith, the distances between objects can be several tens of kilometers. Implementation of modern Wi-Fi technologies enables to integrate all objects of tests into an integrated network created on the basis of Ethernet technology. This solution allows for transmitting all data types and maintaining high-quality voice communication between objects. Satellite communication is used for communicating objects situated at considerable distances (several hundreds of kilometers). In this case, the devices, through which an object connected through satellite communication is integrated into a common integrated Ethernet network, are implemented. Wi-Fi radiocommunication information and unauthorized access protection are carried out through implementing hardware and software complexes certified by relevant RF state authorities. In the final part of the summary the conclusions on purposefulness of implementation of Wi-Fi technology along with creation of a local computer network during WME tests are made.
