Abstract:
In military networks there is using decentralized network architecture for more flexibility and failure stability of network topology. The main shortcoming of decentralized networks is a complexity of guaranteeing synchronous network operation.
Developed communication equipment could establish up to 48 connections with other stations. It imposes additional difficulties in network functional and management algorithms. In such a network there could be up to 255 vehicles and it would be very expensive to debug algorithms and software with real equipment. Imitational model was developed for analysis and synthesis of such networks. It allows to explore characteristics of informational exchange between equipment in the network in different topologies. Location of vehicles, their trajectories, time of movement start and stop are given as input to the model. Model simulates functioning of communication equipment on each vehicle. As a result of model operation it is possible estimate following network functional characteristics:
Vehicle connect time to network;
Network reconfiguration time because of topological change;
Network generation time;
Channels-s bandwidths;
Average packet delivery time.
Characteristics given above allow to estimate and increase efficiency of network management algorithms.
