FULL-SCALE TEST OF THE POSITION FINDING RADIOACTIVE SOURCE SYSTEM WITH PSEUDO-RANDOM OF OPERATING FREQUENCY OF VHF RANGE MODEL

Abstract:
The high-precision position location of sources of a radio emission, especially using spread spectrum signals, remains a priority problem by working out of the radio control units. The complex model has been developed for check of theoretical positions, in which it is realized difference range method of position location. The complex model consists of three points, two peripheral and one central. The basic elements of points are the receiver, with the device of analogue-digital transformation, the device of frequency and time synchronization, a communication subsystem. The central point includes a processing working place and carries out functions on management of system, processing of signals, calculation of co-ordinates, information visualisation on a cartographical background. The technique of field tests of model consisted in definition of position location of frequency hopping signal sources a work zone. Check of accuracy of position location was made in three stages. At the first stage the radio station, serially settled down in various points within a working zone. At the second stage two radio stations, settled down in various points within a working zone. At the third stage two radio stations working under identical programs settled down in various points within a working zone of a subsystem. Between them the radio communication was organized. Tests have confirmed a correctness of theoretical results and have shown possibility of high-precision of frequency hopping signal sources. Possibility of division into districts of the several radio stations working under identical programs also is confirmed.
